Thinking of getting the Subaru Boost Gauge from Graham Goode (the one that sits on the steering column). Has anyone fitted one of these items and if so have you got any instructions on how to do so? My main concern is connecting into the interior lighting circuit.

Does anyone know how the gauge is illuminated, is it back lit or is it the same as the main instruments?

I think I'm correct in saying that the Sti V has no extra nipple (technical term!) for a spare silicone boost hose to be fitted similar to the MY98's. Where is the best place to T of from for the gauge?

Cheers,

Dave

Could really use some help on this one...

David,

I'm not sure where you wire the illumination for the proper Subaru gauge, but I wired mine from the stereo illumination circuit. I know others have taken it from the rear fog light circuit.

Not sure about the manifold outlet though. Sorry!

Hope this helps
Andy

As far as the T-piece goes...any "pipe" coming out of the inlet will do..you will need a t-piece and a small piece of pipe.

I had the gauge delivered today. Lovely bit of kit. I have to take all the surrounding plastic off of the steering column (the gauge fits ontop of the steering column). Anyone ever tried this, the instructions that came with the gauge are in Japanese (DOH!).

The only bit I'm not sure about is a bracket underneath the steering column which should not be removed completely otherwise the steering column will drop, but by the looks of it, the bolts holding the bracket also tighten into the top cover (I have a work colleague who can read Japanses), anyone ever removed the steering column surround?

Cheers,

Dave
