Castles and Mountains Tour of North Wales.
 

I am proposing to do a Castles and Mountains Tour, of North Wales ...Anybody Interested??

Dates i have in mind is Sunday 18th July .....

My proposal is..

M56 Helsby Services 1st meet point
A55
Conwy Castle - meet point (rear carpark)
Llandudno Great Orme Coast Road (costs £2)
Regroup Conwy Castle (rear carpark)
A55
Bangor
Beaumaris Castle - Anglesey, via Old Bridge, rtn via New Bridge
Caernarfon/ Caernarfon Castle
Snowdon - via Llanberis pass
Beddgelert
Ffestiniog
Betws Y Coed
1 leg of EVO Triangle to Ruthin
Mold
and Back to A55

I estimate about 180miles for the Loop.

I am proposing this to be a leisure drive, to avoid frightening anyone who wants to bring kids, and to keep PC Plod happy, as the eye in the sky is often about. with several regroups etc, i estmate potentially taking 4 - 5 hours.

Allowing for the time it will take to do the loop, i think 10.15am meet up for 10.30am leave from Helsby ..........therefore giving us a fair amount of time for the run, before having to worry about getting back...... Plus that gives time for us to have some stops, and maybe time for a picnic lunch break, at Conwy, after doing the Llandudno Orme.

So, as a rough guide...

10.30 depart Helsby - 'definate'
11.30 depart Conwy Castle 'rear carpark'
> do a loop of the llandudno Orme coast road (excellent scenary)
Regroup back at Conwy - short break for lunch (and Toilets)
12.45 depart for the remainder of the 'tour'.....


Conwy Castle Carpark, is Pay and Display ....so u will need a small amount of change

as long as my turbo is done intime i will be there thats if nobody objects to a legacy turbo being there it's the saloon type not the estate may know someone with a wrx who will also want to pop along.
