STI8 Steering wheel question
 

I thought i would be clever and buy some sti8 steering wheels. One would be for me and the others i could pass on (as stupid price on ebay is like £200-£300)!!!!

Anyway, the steering wheels have arrived but dont have the air bag in the middle so now there is just a big whole! lol

Any ideas? Im not interested in the air bag as i wouldnt be able to use it on my car anyway but thought i could have the cover on there so it actually looks like a steering wheel!

But the cover contains the airbag inside it doesn't it?
I VERY much doubt that you'll be able to source just the cover as it will come with the airbag module already built in.I can give you some idea of price for the airbag module (Which would include the centre) as I priced an STi8 steering wheel up when somebody was selling one on here not so long ago. (Don't have the original quote now but these prices are pretty much correct)

Steering wheel - £350 + vat
Airbag module - £650 + vat :eek::eek:

Good luck but I really think you'll struggle on this one.... (Be interested to hear otherwise though)

Just put one in my car and can't see how the cover can be prised away easily from the air bag cylinder - it all looks like its moulded together.
Why not phone some breakers and ask for a centre where the air bag has gone off?
Twohats is breaking an expired STi so he may have this?

I don't think the Ebay prices are bad as they come as new with spinner and air bag intact from Prodrive.

Well ive got on to the breaker to see about the air bags and if they dont work out, ill send them back

Ebay prices werent bad, but if i got these ones, they would have been cheaper
