Busted Gearbox
 
:eek: Just had to pay me bill for getting gearbox repaired..... It was a wallet busting £1600........ Ouchy don't want that going on me again

I hope they didn;t make it out of gold which would explain the price but that would be very soft and wouldn't last long :D

Sounds like someone has been to Sparshats with a bill like that, you should of used API. Was it a gearbox out of a 22B.

In all fairness we had an STi v1 pre production & the parts & labour did come to around £1600, it was the first box that had seen this amount; though all parts from Japan & the factory had to make them especially.

Though every part in the box was broken & smashed.......

Usually price is circa £750 - £900 mark

That's crazy guys, almost ANY 5 speed Subaru gearbox can be found - in the UK - with a bit of determination. You'd probably expect to pay about a grand for a DCCD version, but most others can be had for £500 - £600, or sometimes less, in the market.
