Hard to recognise without the customary low cloud and drizzle. It's The Screes that's the give away.

Finally someone who can spell my name right, thanks.

My parents go up to the lakes every year in may time and stay in Elterwater, north of Ambleside and we usually go fell walking. but the last couple of year we have gone to the lakes on the 27th December tull the 1st to see the new year in (2wice in a year) but this year we have not gone up there in may, we are now only going up the december as the weather is much better - snow, frosty lakes, golder bracken etc..., compared to the dull boring green scenery. hope that answers your question!:)

I agree, definitely Wastwater.

I go up there in the scoob several times a year to rock climb on Gable.

Actually I cheated, cos technically it's a reservoir I think....it's Kielder. Remember the good ol days when the RAC/Lombard rally went that way.....

its a shame that its now the rally of Wales and not the rally GB

never been to Kielder......

used to goto the overnight stop at carlisle to watch the rally cars :)
