Surging on acceleration

Hi All ,
Got a slight problem , U.k wrx new age 01 , on foot to floor acceleration get a slight surging and on quick acceleration ( throttle pedal just ahead of engine speed , if you know what it mean !) the car is fine , been suggested may be coil or plugs, mass air flow meter , not done much with scooby engine faults yet , digi moto software used to check sensors etc, but map sensor showing 29 psi on full boost and 5 psi at idle not sure if software not reading sensor correctly or map sensor faultly .
0 to 60 time appears a bit slow @7.2 seconds car has no mod's apart from a cold air intake system and a bailymotorsport dump valve .
Can anyone shed any light on this one .
Cheers
