Changing one expensive new car for two 2nd hand performance car's

Been thinking of this for a while and wondered what you think !

I tend to spend alot on a new car every 3 years, last year i bought a STi 8, with PPP, Springs, wheels, etc..

I'm very very happy with it, but i cannot help thinking that there is prob a better way to spend this kind on cash on 2 cars which have already taken the depreciation hit, and end up with one car as a weekend / sunshine / trackday machine and another as a very good road car

As i live next to the lakes and the roads are of the twisty back road type and the weather is usually a bit crap, the impreza has been the perfect machine.

Current cars that are on my list would be a Impreza type R / RA and an Elise

What do you think??

Discussion Please

Tried this, my advice 1 uber saloon ie Large comfy Merc or Lexus and a sports car.
Had 2 TVRs at one point an older one and a new one but enjoyed driving both but how do you choose? Also the insurance x2 the servicing x2 gets v.expensive :o
