somewhere more interesting

been on this site since end of 1999 i think, first as Cus, now Ted. total posts of about 300 in all that time. Started looking at the site because of my scooby.
Anyhow, this place has become pretty boring for me, especially since cwe closed. and muppets - like looking at a chatroom for school kids.

So anyone recommend somewhere more interesting?

Cheers,
Ted

No need for the insults. Anything goes; light hearted humor to make the working day less dull. Judging by some of the posts and arguements that have gone in here (nsr) I see why some people are attracted to muppets. It's called muppet show for a reason you know.

milo 27 May 2004 09:39 PM

lol.. its like going into a restaurant and saying "your food sucks.. can you recommend somewhere else?" :D

Try this. ;)

eClaire 27 May 2004 09:43 PM

LOL. milo. :)

It's a release for some people who can't act like that in real life. You'd think by some of the bickering in here that this was the playground :p

Ted Maul 27 May 2004 09:44 PM

sorry eclaire - muppets humour just not for me I guess.

and milo, it's more like asking the people sitting at the table rather than asking the owners. I'm sure they've all eaten at other restaurants which they'd recommend?

Not really. The bbs is space, the content is provided by the members ;)

Spoon 27 May 2004 09:54 PM

Ted- Agree with the muppet forum. I have a great sense of humour but that place is an embarrassment to read 98% of the time, quite frankly. Then there's the single emoticon postings!!! wtf?

Before any muppet starts to weep and throw a wobbly, it is my view.

eClaire 27 May 2004 10:00 PM

LOL Spoon. :)

Have noticed though a few of the muppets who have been there for a while (incl. myself) are posting less nowadays.... still, there are still a few golden threads being produced, have a look (if you can manage to weed them out through all the keek!) :D;)

I did notice the hamster from Southend was loitering in here and general yesterday. Then there's you trying to gain cred following me about, nice move though girl, you'll only improve. ;)

Ted Maul 27 May 2004 10:07 PM

some threads are funny, but there's an awful lot of dross.

I did enjoy that impreza chav thread though. (especially ajm getting put down by 'connor', bless.)

That was the most enjoyable thread I can remember on here. Gotta give the little fella his credit for the NACRO invention. He fought well, though some of us just *knew* it was a fabrication (I still can't figure out how he got the pic of the race programme  ).

Hats off to the SN Mods too for standing back and letting it run it's full course. I think we're all suffering a little withdrawl after that. T'was fun, and the last post was a classic. PMSL.

UB:)

Funny you mention that, I am having the strangest sensation of deja vu :)

Jye 27 May 2004 10:36 PM

Welcome back

Redkop 27 May 2004 10:39 PM

From where Jye? :D It was only a sensation she was feeling :p

Hamster?? Moi? LOL, i wasn't in General, but i was in here for a while, certainly, if it's me you're indeed referring to? I've seen you attempt Muppets once or twice but, if you'll pardon me for raising it one more time, your inability to let the L-O-S thing drop is an excellent example of why you don't connect in there. Similarly, NACRO tried it very briefly, but his insults just fell on deaf ears. It's a weird place, but ultimately very rewarding for those who can laugh off anything. Again, just my view. :)

Jye 27 May 2004 10:43 PM

NO, this was me to, em Ted ;)

Ted Maul 27 May 2004 10:48 PM

jye - nice

Spoon 27 May 2004 10:55 PM

Hey Tel- I've not "tried" as you put it, I couldn't, it's way too immature for me to attempt, sorry and all that to burst your bubble.:D Some posts are okay, say 2% that may warrant an input.:D

Mind you it's quite amazing how defensive you get. What was that laughing it off all about, shouldn't that apply to you too? Then again maybe you didn't understand the real humour behind the LoS thing?

I visit there fairly often and like it but I can always spot a defensive individual dying to protect "their" space and I *must* tease them. Now I know you get emotional about things I'll not mention it again.;)

Ted Maul 27 May 2004 11:00 PM

that's more like it

Jye 27 May 2004 11:08 PM

MMMM, Muppet biatch fight :D :D

Y'see - if you introduce a patronising stance from the outset - "too immature for me to attempt, sorry to burst your bubble, emotional about things," etc - it ain't ever going to work, is it?

I'm not being defensive - why *would* i be? It's not my bbs, not my Forum; it's just usually a great place to relax and have a laugh - just pointing out facts. People with predominantly cynical or patronising senses of humour (especially the self-confessed ones!!) just don't reap any reward there, but it would be boring if we were all the same... :)
