M3 `vs` Impreza

Realistacally which would win?

- 0-60

- 1/4mile

- up to 100mph.

Im assuming above 100mph the M3 begins to kick ass!!!

TopBanana 27 May 2004 03:35 PM

Astonishing

juan 27 May 2004 03:37 PM

the black one would win

16vmarc 27 May 2004 03:38 PM

Just found 13.9 sec for an E36 M3.

Dracoro 27 May 2004 03:39 PM

which scoob, which m3? I reckon the M3 will beat the impreza sport but I could be wrong.

Make sure the times you get are from the same source so you get a relative difference. comparing one mag or drag strip time to another is meaningless.

RR 27 May 2004 03:39 PM

Which Scoob, which m3.

16vmarc 27 May 2004 03:39 PM

Sorry E36 and uk Turbo

Wow a mind reader..

Christ 27 May 2004 03:42 PM

Deja-vous...

PPPMAT 27 May 2004 03:42 PM

I'm waiting for Tiggers and Skittles to turn up - then let battle commence ;D

come on guys.......you provide great entertainment

Dracoro 27 May 2004 03:43 PM

bhp/tonne - evo mag.

'98-'00 uk turbo 177bhp per tonne
E35 M3 - 215 bhp per tonne.

so the m3 will probably be faster.

16vmarc 27 May 2004 03:43 PM

By the way im not saying Impreza is better, so if people start saying that dont blame me imo

:D

Dracoro 27 May 2004 03:44 PM

RR - ;) :D

Deja-vous indeed. :D

lightning101 27 May 2004 03:56 PM

With the diffrence in price between the two, its not surprising.

How about a Noble m12 versus M3

How about a Audi RS6 Plus with 477 BHP in todays Auto Express

These are price and equipment levels in the same boat and the M3 would lose every time.

A new UK turbo can be bought for Roughly 17 - 19K depending on supplier - what does it cost for an M3 ?

Scooby-Doo 27 May 2004 04:02 PM

How about a green 2CV against a blue Renualt 4.

323roy 27 May 2004 04:03 PM

lightning 101
a bit slow , :D

you seem to be missing the point that there is more to a car than speed.

Otherwise i got well ripped off buying a limo :D

Tchort 27 May 2004 04:05 PM

Had a blat with an E46 M3 the other day and there wan't a lot in it which pleased me cos I nearly got one.

Brendan Hughes 27 May 2004 04:44 PM

How many twisties are involved?

16vmarc 27 May 2004 05:06 PM

pmsl

tiggers 27 May 2004 05:16 PM

I'm here and I'm ready - if Skittles is up for it we can go to war ;)

Trouble is I retired from the dissing the magical myth surrounding M3 partly due to popular demand and partly because it was taking up to much of my time as there has been the odd thread about this in the past

In the meantime why not:

USE THE SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tiggers.

PMSL :D

OK. What's faster.

1. Tesco trolley.

2. Asda trolley.

3. M&S trolley.

;):D

16vmarc 27 May 2004 05:17 PM

Is that like the force but differant?

lmao

lightning101 27 May 2004 05:25 PM

Once again Asda Trollies and Marks and Spencer Trollies are in a diffrent leauge from each other, and the M&S one would kill it in the twisty aisles.

Still a pound for petrol, and you get it back at the end of your journey.

akshay67 27 May 2004 05:28 PM

I's imagine an E36 M3 would murder a UK turbo - it has over 100bhp more and no 4wd transmission loses.

Interesting thread though...

FrenchBoy 27 May 2004 05:29 PM

Arent there too many chavs using Marks and Spencer trolleys these days?

lightning101 27 May 2004 05:34 PM

Think the resale market on M&S trollies has died, so easy to get hold of.

Have seen a nice looking one on some wast ground next to multi storey block, if anyone wants to host the pics.

It can seat two chav children in two waterproof plastic seats, but often found broken down at side of the road (well there seems to be a lot of women pushing them rather than driving them)

PPPMAT 27 May 2004 05:36 PM

I'd quite like a waitrose trolly, but I can't afford one. I suppose you pay for quality

lightning101 27 May 2004 05:40 PM

Waitrose really is snob value IMHO.

Plus "Heat Soak problems"

and being caught in the wrong gear - i.e. burberry cap and 10 finger rings

lightning101 27 May 2004 05:42 PM

This is me with my little beauty:

16vmarc 27 May 2004 05:45 PM

I reckon Morrison trolleys are slower as they have the coin box on them.
