Petrol in Ireland for MY99 PPP
 

Hi,
I am taking the scoob to the east coast of Ireland in a couple of weeks. Staying in Courtown area but will probably visit Wexford and Dublin for the day. Whats the petrol situation like over there, over here the scoob gets nothing but optimax, is there an equivalent over there (vpower?). If not what is the general availibility of super (and does anyone know a garage that sells it near Courtown?). Also whats the speed camera situation like, bad as here?

Not a speed camera to be seen. Well certainly from wexford to the west coast

There is no optimax or equivalent, i.e no 98RON. the best you will find is 97 RON and this is only at certain texaco stations (not all texaco have them). there is one in dublin on the rochestown avenue that has it, it is near dun leaghiore (sp!) ferry port. Basically very tough to find, you should think about bringing some of that octane booster stuff.

Dont use irish v-power either, its only 95 ron (rebadged pura crap IMHO) as siad most of the bigger texaco staions will do 97 ron, so pack some booster ;)
