This sounds 'normal' for the mods you have, mine always did when I had the same sort of mods. Make sure your using Optimax fuel and octane booster, as these cars are run on at least 100 Ron fuel in Japan. The next stage I would say is a re-map to make sure your cars fueling etc is spot on, taking into account the additional mods from factory.
At the same time a Knocklink, to make sure your car is not suffering from too much det 'pinking'.

Enjoy, you've choosen a cracking motor.

thought as much,
dont worry we always run it on optimax with octane booster :-)
rather not drive it than do it anyother way.....

what sort of remap??? is the standard ecu mappable then????
how much are we looking @???? and how much are decent knock link??

Knock link £160 from Roger Clark Motorsport. Gauges should be first on your list to keep an eye on things. AFR, Lambda, EGT?

You can re-map the standard Ecu, this would be an Ecutek map (Tek). The best one to go for is the Tek3, where the car is mapped to your individual car. If you look in the Group buy forum there's one going on at the moment with Bob Rawle aka B R Developments. They can also supply you with a Knocklink aswell.
