scoop bug guard

does anyone know where i can get a intercooler scoop guard for a my03 wrx sti type uk.
go out for a drive in the evening and when i get back the intercooler looks like a bar-bee-que for bugs.
have found a development site witch are testing a new one they made at the moment but they dont seem to be moving along with it.
dont want to make one my self as would proberly f@%k it up and damage car.

There is nothing to stop the flies going onto the intercooler. my dad asked the subaru dealer when he brought it and they said just fet a paint brush and the likes and brush them off evey so oftern.

And is there was a guard over the intercooler, that would be pointless as there would be no air getting to the intercooler.

Yeah you can't win with that one really - the guard can do far more damage by not getting the air in than the bugs can getting in.

You can try Armourfend or Supaguard treatments to aid in the combat against the bug, apart fromt that a few good wax treatments can certainly help in making it easier to clear it away (make sure it's good quality stuff and get a good few layers on there) ;)

i dont want to block it completly. with some sort of fine wire mesh would do the trick at the moment i hoover it with brush attachment.

I give mine a hoover when I have the hoover out for the interior, just be careful not to damage any fins. If you do, cocktail stick sorts them.
