Yes, I hold my hands up! They are wrong!!!!!

Apologies go to Mark Aigin and all...NOT http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Took the Escort Cossie up on Saturday. It showed 227 bhp (which is surprise, surprise exactly book!!!!), but it hit peak BHP @ 150 REVS LESS then wot the book says!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

So they ARE wrong!!!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Joking apart......they have just had a MEGA BIG new fan installed, which should stop certain scooby owners http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif moaning now. They have also just had the ROLLERS calibrated (with a certificate of proof).

So give 'em a call & get your cars down there (for REAL power figures http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)!

Shaun.

I knew they were wrong from the start! no-one else has given me accurate figures http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Wonder how the new car will weigh up on the rolllers with a factory claimed 400BHP!

harj, if your driving at the time it will weigh up quite heavily i would think. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif LOL

harj 03 July 2000 11:04 AM

John,

My drving style will correct any power to weight ratios differences, Imagine what 1/4 mile times I would get if I was smaller http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

johnfelstead 03 July 2000 11:18 AM

Nah, you would be slower then, less traction. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif LOL

harj 03 July 2000 11:32 AM

Its good having traction http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif beats sitting on line surrounded in smoke http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

As I had promised last time, I will be organising another Rolling Road day at Powerstation in October/November.

Even though I don't own a Scooby now, i'll do anything to get my boat race in a mag. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif I think it may even be a good idea to open the day to POWERFULL Cossies as well, we will just have to see.

It will be interesting for people to compare figures with changes in temperature etc. More details closer to the time!

The feature made on the RR shootout in May, will be in THIS months Redline!!!!

Shaun.

Shaun,

Will my new car be allowed to join in? If it arrives by then, or I may have to use the R32 when I get it! Should be a good comparision to include Cossies / Scoobies and SUPERCARS http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Harj....

Harj,

I am assuming your are talking about a skyline here...

Have your really decided on a Factory Nismo 400 version of the R34?? Surely this is the only factory claimed 400PS car, so it must be the Nismo. What colour? Lurid yellow? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Wow, what a car, factory tuned and almost as fast as an aftermarket tuned scooby. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

(Looking forward to seeing this beast in the flesh! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif )

Hi Moray!

Yep Ive ordered a new R34 V Spec in Bayside Blue with all the Nismo extra's, looking for an R32 until the 34 arrives which is due in October.

Harj...
