With embroidery you can get patterns by: searching on the net going to your local library and getting a lend of books buying embroidery magazines etc More than likely you could get the outlines to print out from the net if you done a search on the likes of google. I used to do embroidery when i was 12 or something. don't laugh! :p :D |
Check out local companies that do it. So long as the designs are quite simple its not too expensive.

is it done by a special machine or (gulp) by hand and a needle :)

Do it by hand!
God I can't believe I even posted in a thread about embroidery  Should stay off the booze. |
If you have a hobbycraft store near to you, they are really helpful there and have loads of different ways to put embroidery etc onto Tee shirts and stuff. I do tapestry and its sooooooooooo theraputic, can drift off into another dimension whilst threading that wool through those holes...... it aint so daft. Not as harmful to the body as booze or drugs anyways !

Ooooh. Not done any tapestry for ages... used to do loads when i was a lad, my parents used to have a haberdashery shop.
