VF22 on MY99, What boost to run?

Hi there guys i recently bought a vf22(i m told its high flowed) for my pretty much standard my99,

mods i have : T.S. Bleed valve, GFB Hybrid BOV, 3inch turbo back exhaust, Apexi Pod filter. on std cooler, std ecu, std motor and everything else.

I am getting the vf22 put on late this week. I was wondering what would be the max safe boost to run on my current set up(dont want to damage my motor in the short/long term)? Will the turbo come on full boost by 4000 rpm?

I am planing on getting some more mods(cooler and ecu)in the long term (a year or so), but before these i am not sure how much of an improvement is it going to be over my std td04? i hope the car will pull harder than td04!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

hmmm

you would have been better with a 23 or a 24 for a stock engine

the 22 does flow quite a bit, but is a touch laggy (i had one on my 97wrx as standerd)
run as much boost as you can safely, pointless people telling you what preasure to run when your car could be detting its balls off, and your ragging it about thinking its safe because sumbody who you will never meet, told you it was fine on a bbs

Use a knocklink to keep an eye on det. With that set up I think what you gain from the bigger turbo will probably be offset by the later spool up making the car a bit slower in the real world, however since it won't spool up till later it should feel like a gook kick the back when it does get on to boost.

I'd say make sure your knocklink is working and set the boost up with that, or some home made det cans. A few people have made these cheeply (I'm not one of them btw)
