Engine polish ????
 

Does anyone know of a polish that you can use on your engine?.Basically on some of the metal brackets and alternator there is a sort of limescale on it and im wanting to polish it up as it looks like the engine has been sitting on the bottom of the sea for years.Is there such a polish that will remove this and where can i get it from.

Autosol (I think) in a gold and black toothpaste type tube. Available from Halfords etc. Think that will do the job mate.

By the way, try brasso first if you have some, you might be suprised.

autosol mate cant go wrong, if you cant get any ive got a spare tube

Have you tried the CD2 engine cleaner from halfords. I used that on mine based on a recommendation on here and I would highly recommend it on. ;)

CD2 is absolutely fantastic used it on mine today after scoobynetter recommended it and its come up beautiful. Altho it doesnt remove that limescale look totally.
