Anybody used Turbo Technics before?
Hi all, in a month or so our magazine is going to do a feature on them, I personally have never had anything to do with them. Has anbody used them before and what are they like? i guess they are big in forced induction hybrid's and many people must of changed them there? Also by looking at their website they are at the cutting edge of turbo charging!

Have not used them, but have heard of them. They have been in business many years, so they must be doing something right!

I used to have a turbo technics twin turbo sierra 4x4 estate. excellent piece of kit and pulled like you would not believe. rather heavy on juice though.....
they know what they're doing |
They looked after us great a few years ago on a Daihatsu Charade, the old carb version (1984). Did a superb job, and cut no corners.

I used to have a 205 1.9 GTi Turbo Technics, converted from new in 1991. Power up to 175bhp from 128bhp and torque up by 50%. Made for one VERY rapid 205, great for giving unsuspecting M3's and Scoobs a big surprise, with only the chirping of the dump-valve giving the game away! Really miss that car :(
TT dont do any turbo conversions for road cars anymore however, only supercharging (I believe for MGF and Lotus Elise only). Pity really. |
My old man had an Audi 80 converted to turbo power back in the '80's. It was a right larf and he loved it. Only trouble he had was slight axle tramp.

Geoff Kershaw runs the company and has a moster twin turbo V6 cossie engined sierra that I've competed against. Nice guy.
