is the 10k service at 10k or 11k?

My card says next service at (1000) 10,000 miles or x date.

So is that when the odometer says 10000 miles, or 10000 after the previous service?

oh, and if I was taking advantage of the potentially low price for a 10k service to sneak some prodrive springs in under the wife-radar, could I get the whole lot done at somewhere like power engineering etc, or do I need to stick with Subaru dealers for the service?

Get the dealer to fit the prodrive springs. On the bill, ask them to amalgamate it with the service items :D
That way 'er indoors will just think its part of the normal service charge :D

good call, I like your thinking! :)

so, is it at 10 or 11k?

First '10k' service is actually at a 9k increment given the existence of the 1k service. Is at 10k intervals thereafter. Handbook allows 1k or 1 month either side of the 10k/annual interval.

When your car feels like a bag'o'bolts after about 9K then its probably due for a service;)

ok, so a nice and simple 10k, 20k etc, just ignore the first oil change service.
