Scooby vs. 4wd sapphy cossie???

as above,

The cossie is 4wd 4 door sapphire with pipercross induction, Dump valve and full magnex exhaust

The scooby is a WRX with Green panel, HKS BOV and a HKS hiper with downpipe

who would win?

Alec 13 May 2004 02:15 PM

Classic Wrx? What year?

Adam M 13 May 2004 02:17 PM

how can anyone know the answer to that?

way too many variables.

why does anyones opinion count?

why don't you race them and find out for sure!

Dracoro 13 May 2004 02:29 PM

who would win what?? smallest willy competition? ;)

anyway, as just stated too many variables. straight line race? high speed cornering race, low speed cornering race? brands hatch style(up 'n down) circuit or silverstone(flat) style? circuit tarmac? good road tarmac? bad road tarmac? braking? acceleration? top speed?

0-60 ---- scoob probably ---- why? - cos my brother's bigger than yours :D

top speed ---- Cossie probably ---- Longer gearing & good aerodynamics

1st to break down ---- not sure but probably the scoob ---- why? - cossies may be old but they had really good engines to start with

Round a circuit ---- scoob at a guess ---- why? - Sierra cossies have longer gears and tend to understeer

1st to be worth peanuts ---- scoob :( ---- why? - cossies are a classic like all RS fords. New Jap cars tend to get better where as fords tend to get worse :(

4 door 2ltr Scooby vs 4 door 2ltr Cossie

...same sh1t, different package isn't it? :p

You never been out in a Scoob then? ;)

CC 13 May 2004 03:41 PM

what a refreshing change!

for once the posts in a scoob vs whatever thread are all expressing who gives a flying fvck, and quite right too.

Last time a similar race happened was on a Clarskon Vid. M.A.Developments Cossie scort vs Scoob STI5 Type R around a lap. Scort had a shedload more bhp. Result..... a draw :) So u could argue that the Scoob was quicker ;)

Scuba 13 May 2004 04:32 PM

It was just to tie up a small arguement and by the way the WRX is a 2002..

Scuba 13 May 2004 04:35 PM

Oh yeh its the quarter and round knockhill which is tight/quick circuit....

Paulo P 13 May 2004 04:45 PM

I'd say the WRX doesn't stand a chance then :(

Yeah but remember the Cossie was driven by a muppet (Clarkson), and the scoob was driven by a gob with legs (VBH), neither of whom could drive sheep;)

Exactly they were on equal terms ;) Scooby wins ;)

ALi-B 17 May 2004 11:34 AM

ahh, You say a 2002 WRX
That's a UK version car, yes?

Well I'd have to lay my money on the cossie. If it were a classic shape JDM version WRX it would have been a different story.

Now, which will break first? The cossie's gearbox/front driveshafts or the scooby's Big End ;) :D

Scuba 18 May 2004 12:47 PM

UK version..
