Peugeot 206 Gran Tourisme Question

I have one of the above cars and need a piece of the exhaust system. The plastic bit in the middle. However Peugeot want to charge me £750 including Fitting to do this. Can anybody suggest a good place to try and source the part

Cheers
Mark

Hayward and scott could probably custom build you a whole new exhaust for that money.

I no they could supply a hole new exhaust for that much money. Peugeot are right rip off murchants. No ideas on where to get the part from.

plastic bit in the middle of the exhaust?

Sometimes I think pug change things between cars just for the fun of it. Makes it much more fun trying to identify the right bits.

That sounds about right to me. They charge you a fortune for a piece of plastic. (thats what the garage said)..

AFAIK, the exhaust itself should be exactly the same as a normal 206GTi. The only difference between the two is the slightly longer tailpiece on the GT.

Not sure what this plastic bit you mention is though - can't recall seeing any plastic exhaust parts on either of my 206GTi's  Unless it's something like the inlet or exhaust manifolds?

If it is a piece of the exhaust, you can either try the spares places mentioned above, or a local exhaust maker will be able to run you up a replacement :)

Not to sure where the part actually is my parents took the car in for me. ( I have another car at the moment ) and the quote came back for something like £750 including fitting. The exhaust is blowing and they told me it was the one of the bits of the exhaust. But to be honest I havent got a clue which bit

I'd find out from the garage exactly which bit they plan to replace, and why it is going to cost so much. Generally, the most expensive part of any exhaust is the catalytic converter - which certainly isn't made out of plastic!

Thats what I thought will find out tonight what the part is and why it will cost so much
