The Logitech Quickcam Sphere has it's own software:

Try this http://www.theill.com/conquercam/. It's better than the SW than comes with Creative webcam anyway!

I purchaced a Sphere for work and although it does have motion detection it's only for face tracking. Doesn't have webcam software they punt you off to a partner.

Hi Si,

Configure the following...

From the View menu select "Options" (or press F8 to access the Options). "Select Video Devices" from the list on the left and then change the "Video Device Compressor" format to what ever format you want to save your video in.

Still in Options select "Motion detection" from list on the left and then select "Evidence". Put a tick in the "Store evidence in avi file on disk" check box. Use the browse button (yellow folder/magnifying glass icon) to select the location you want to save the file (enter a filename for your video file in the Filename box at this point).

Keep clicking Ok until you return to the main software.
