why dont you just fit them the way the instructions tell you to?

Micky.. yes I know mate but it says to drill the bumper for the metal clips to fit in.... I would prefer not to drill as if I decide to remove them at any stage you would see these slots drilled in... and it does not matter how carefull you are you can never make a factory finished job of the drilling because of the angle and location of the holes.

I was thinking that a couple of blobs of silicon sealer where the clips are would be enough to secure them in that area ? and was wondering if anyone else has actually drilled or not.

I guess it's like MFI you buy the cuboards and throw the instructions in the bin before you start to assemble

But I take you point mate, just looking for maybe a better option here than the drill... and with a silver car any holes will show up more than if it was darl in colour.

Thanks
Simon

if you glued them and then they fell out you would be more then gutted

drill them and use a file to make sure the holes are nice and "slot-ish"

if you wanted to remove them it would be nothing to fill the slots back in and do a smart repair

due to there location it would be barely noticeble, if it all

Thanks Micky
I'll get a small peice of plastic and do a few trial slots first, as you know its more a run of holes joined together rather than one on its own, I'll post a few pics when fitted.

Simon :)
