i have a 98 terzo with the original 16 inch wheels on
the tyres are at the end of their life. shall i buy new tyers or go for a different size wheel? if so what size? want them for better performance more than ride quality best tyers also? ive been running p zeros for the last 2 years and found them to be a better tyre than the bridgestone potenza that it came with |
Hi Paul,
generally people seem to go for 17" rims with 215/40/17. Saying that, quite a few are starting to fit 18" now although I've not really heard much feedback so I don't know if they're so much of an improvement. As for tyres, I'd say SO2s but others will suggest different, personal preference. |
Hi Paul,
I have a Terzo (No 290) as well and changed my wheels a few months ago. I was one of those that went for 18" 'ers. I bought Speedline GT-1 lites, with P-Zero 225/35 tyres. The ride is firmer than the standard wheel / tyre cobmination, but isn't as hard as I was expecting. There is a massive difference in the responsiveness of the steering and the car seems to turn much more sharply. The road holding / grip is also greatly improved. I had heard poor reports about tramlining, but have not experienced anything different. I have posted some pictures in the gallery if you want to see what they look like. They are under "I started life as a Terzo!!". Sorry, I don't know how to create a direct link. I would certainly recommend 18" wheels http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Simon |
