Just wondered how deep the tread is on a brand new tyre? my P6000s are down to 6mm after about 5000 miles, and wanted to know how quickly they are wearing.

Cheers

Chris

Well just went out and checked some Goodyear F1s on my mates Renault 21 Quadra and they are about 7mm ( he only had them done on saturday).

Look as nice as my S02s - What do they drive like ?

Cheers mate. Looks as though they are not wearing as fast as I thought then http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif, and it is even wear all round.

My SOs have done 12K and have a 1mm above legal, so I'll be needing some more (ouch).

And the 30K service (double ouch)

Should say - you're clearly not trying hard enough !

I should say that this is just on a 306 rallye. I figured that the fronts should wear loads faster than the backs, but everything is looking pretty even. I also thought I had been driving them quite hard, and so even more surprises.

Perhaps p6000s are just v hard wearing.

Just sold wifes mondeo 4x4 that had set of P6000s changed at 30k and sold at 45k they hardly looked used.

Guess they must be hard !
