Personal Mp3 player
 

As I'm bored sh**less listening to the music while working out at the gym I'm after a personal MP3 player.

Any recomendations?

I posted a thread about this a few weeks back and the overall recommendation was an iPod...which I went out and bought. I'm delighted with it. I got the smallest model which is fine for my needs. Really nice piece of kit.

The ipod is a great bit of kit and i love mine but ive heard that for exercise it may not be the best thing because its effectively disk based and as such likely to jog after the 20 mins (i think) anti-jog and takes a while to get back up and running again. So if you doing more than 20 mins on a treadmill or anything else which is going to shock the unit you may find tracks jumping.

Get an iPod you will not be disappointed. The anti shock is 25 mins. I use mine heavily for all kinds of things and I have never experienced any skipping.

Its very small too compared to some of the others out there, you don't want to be carrying round some massive heavy thing all the time, especially if you are using it for gym work. Only 158g including hard drive and battery and a mere 10.4 by 6.1 by 1.57 cm (unless you got the 40gb which is marginally bigger and heavier at 176g)
