Chaps, Am I ok with 215/40/17 SO2s or Toyos?
At present I have 215/45/17 which rub when people are in the back. Cheers,John |
They're rubbing on the rear protective rubber strip. Remove that one (dead easy), problem solved.
Remember to protect with soemthing else...tape..undercoating, talk to your bodyshop. /J P.S. The Superturismo (ET48) needs 205/45x17 to not rub at all (with the rear lip left in place). |
Tks,Jerry.Don't think I'll go for the 205/45/17 option, can't get SO2's or Toyo's in that size.So rubber strip off you come!
Cheers ,John |

John,
I had 215/40 R17s on Speedline Chronos (aka Superturismos) and had no problems. Thanks Gavin |
Which probably means U guys aren't driving your cars that hard? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
With a 215/40 ET48 (17x7) is more of a hit/miss if it's going to rub, it's very close. This only happens on euro spec scoobs that has the rear rubber protective strips installed, jap cars doesn't have these. /J |
