NBO2 INFO & CHAT

With only 7 weeks to go and over 226 confirmed allready this like last years event will be the Biggest gathering of scoobs in the UK

The NBO2 committee from cumbrian and Tyne Tees scoobs has been working hard behind the scenes to make this years event a repeat of last years with a great collection of cars and suppliers and things to do for the family as well

NBO2 will be held again at Lightwater Valley Theme park near Rippon in Yorkshire on Sunday 13th of June
it will be between 11AM and 5 PM although the 2 BIG convoys from Tyne tees/cumbria and scotland and the Yorkshire crew will hopefully arive 10 minutes before hand .

I still remember last years phone call from Johny Gav from scotchcorner car park at 1030 been told to move by security due to over 100 scoobs blocking the car park :D:D
we can all remember the tail backs onto the A1 with scoobys blocking the main way into Lightwater !!!

This years event will be even better !!!

One change this year is a collection for charity as you enter

Last year we raised £1450 for cancer Research on the day which although Cancer Research was greatful for it only worked out at £3.50 per car
This year we have set a target of £3000 pounds for cancer research to be raised on the day .
Lightwater Valley have agreed to allowing an entrance fee to the show as long as the money goes to charity so we suggest a donation of £5 (FIVE POUNDS ) PER CAR

This money will be collected by the volenteers from Cancer Research as you park up

Please CAN YOU ENSURE YOU WILL HAVE FIVE POUNDS as the buckets are sealed and giving change will be hard as we are trying to park up 400-500 scoobs in less then one hour !!!!!

Im SURE the majority of scooby drivers will be donating more then the recomended £5 per car anyway !!!

All proceeds on the day go to Cancer Research as well as the raffle with all the prizes donated by our suppliers

Again we will be having the SCOOBY OF THE DAY competion with the top 3 cars winning prizes

so start polishing now !!!!

As last Year, Lightwater Valley will be giving special admission to the Theme park for the day

Lightwater Valley has full eating and refreshments ,toilets and a good selection of shops to keep you all amused as well as a great collection of rides .

This year we have 12 suppliers

The full list will be published next week

but i do suggest you start saving now for your goodies

Please can you all help by POSTING ON THE OFFICIAL LIST your attendance and if you know any one that is coming that hasnt registered please put their name down as its very important that we know how many cars are coming for insurance and for the parking arrangements for our marshalls .

We are going to keep this thread going for information and general Chat in the lead up to the NBO2 so please make your comments and your memories from last year on this thread and post your atendance on the Official NBO2 LIST Thread

We have also done a deal with above for weather like last year :D:D

Look forward to seeing and hearing you all on the day

John
And the NBO2 committee from Cumbrian/Tyne tees scoobs .

julian N/W wrx my93 26 April 2004 12:40 AM

i'll willing give more than a fiver, my dad died from the big C and can understand the need for donations etc!

He loved his cars as well, but would not like my scooby cos it does less than 20 mpg.

50 mph on the motorway with the phrase "we'll get there in the end" how many dads say that!

sorry to go on.........................
