what boost pressure should my MY00 be running???

i have an MY00 fitted with a MY99 PPP ECU and afterburner backbox. ive heard that the PPP ECU runs at 16/17 psi, i fitted a boost gauge today and took the car out for a spin. the results were as follows:

2nd Gear WOT = 15psi
4th Gear & 5th Gear WOT = 15.5psi maybe slightly over

does the above look ok??? also im ordering a dawes device. when i get this whats the best boost pressure to run my MY00 at?

what would my standard ECU boost pressure be??

any feedback appriciated

cheers

PPP midrange boost target is 15.7 PSI. It may be lower or higher than this depending on gear, temperatures, how hard the car is driven, boost gauge accuracy.

Knocklink is a good idea, but the PPP runs quite rich and mine was OK running 19 PSI on SUL with full decat, but this was only tested in a Scottish winter.

With a working MAF and healthy car it won't run out of fuel (go lean) but it could det from excessive advance. This could be corrected with ignition retard on Delta Dash (temporary until battery disconnect), octane booster (eg NF), methanol - only use up to 5% unless monitoring AFR on wideband IMHO, or of course less boost.

I would suggest a knocklink and 17-18 PSI peak in the midrange, probably will drop to about 13.5-14.5 PSI at 6000 RPM depending on exhaust, gear, actuator strength etc.

With this setup there will be a larger gain in midrange torque, top end gains are smaller as the turbo is not far off its best at the top with PPP and exhaust.
