Anyone heard of a "bumper enforcer"?

My rear bumper is slightly out of alignment after a little bump. The garage have told me I can use a "bumper enforcer" which will help to straighten it out as the frame is slightly bent. Has anyone heard of these as I can't find any info' on the net.

Dunno if its the same thing but bumpers have a steel brace behind them, perhaps this is the item?

The panel they mean is the bumper reinforcer . it is a metal panel that the bumper cover clips to,in turn this panel is bolted to the ends of the rear chassis legs to align the bumper cover

OK. So I presume this is what I have been calling "the frame" which is a standard part on all cars and the bit I have bent?

I'm sure they mean the bumper carrier, it's designed to absorb impact & so can be damaged relatively easily. The bumper wont sit straight once it's been squashed but they're not too expensive or difficult to replace.

Thanks for all the replies. I think we are all on about the same thing. The garage have quoted £50 + fitting, I think I will get it myself and save some money. Seen a guide on here regarding removing the bumper skin from "the frame" should keep me busy.
