Fitting mudflaps....

Just bought some rubber sheeting (mudflap size) and have had a look at the inner arches to see what is the best way to fit them and to be honest they look like a complete b4st4rd to fit.
Any previous encounters and handy hints would be helpful.
Cheers, John

On the fronts, loosen the sill (remove plastic pop fittings) and wheel arch liner. Main two outer edge fixings are easy. Some use plastic clips for self tappers, I used stainless nuts with blue anodized aluminium hex bolts from here . Stripped the skin from the back of my hands and damn near froze to death getting the nuts started on the bolts inside the arch, but the blue bolts look  on a blue car (much nicer than the clumsy alloy bracket which comes with legitimate fitting kits). The inner fixings need to be drilled into wheel arch and use stainless self tappers.
Rears are easy. Use the outer holes in the bumper and the inner plastic pop fitting for the under bumper trim.
