Hi
can anyone give me the correct comp test figures for a MY00 Turbo2000 uk car please, what should they read for a healthy engine.

Thanks

150 / 160 + You can hover between 145 / 125 with a slightly older engine, but with a newer engine you should expect higher more even figures, dependant on mileage.

The correct figures for your car are ... and I quote ..

146-175 5 psi (1.010-1.206 bar)
Limit is 138psi (0.951 bar)
Difference between cylinders no more than 7 psi (0.49bar)

Note difference between is 7 psi across all 4 so take one as a reference for the rest.

The wide tolerance is because the compression of these engines can vary from 7.8:1 up to 8.2:1

mileage should not really come into it.

Thats measured with all plugs aout cranking at an egnine speed of 200-300 rpm, suggest 10 revs for each test is all thats needed.

Remember that you will overheat the starter motor if you crank for too long.
