My Dads little mis judgement.............
This was the aftermath left when my dad turned his lorry on Thursday this week. He was on his way to Tideswell from Buxton. The road was blocked for quite a while, Maybe it affected you??:D:D:D

He looks pleased with his work :D
|
ERRRMM is it still FOR HIRE ???? LoL glad he is OK , alan.
|
How the hell did he manage that? :)
|
Not too sure how he managed it!! He had to squeeze in for oncoming traffic and thinks he may have clipped a curb as he went around the bend and once it started going it never stopped. The drum was full of concrete at the time. Apparently cost the company 3k! just to get it recovered back to Sheffield!!
Steve |
Glad he's OK - but everyone knows its only Scoobs that handle in the twisties, he should choose his vehicle more carefully ;)
|
Blimey! I bet he's popular with the boss;)
|
Just one question - did he leave the cement to help repair the wall ?
|
LOL @ GarethE :D:D:D
|
HOPE HES OK . he looks very happy considering HES JUST ROLLED A CEMENT MIXER;)
|
Did he have a mix on? I could use a couple of metres of concrete!!
dave |

|
Why is Chubby Brown sat next to your dad's cement mixer Owl?

Just found out some more info.... He was going UPHILL at around 20mph! He did have a full load of about 28 tonne in total and he has to see the boss at 1pm tomorrow!!! OOOOOOH. LOL @ Jase!:D
|
UPDATE... My dad had to see the boss today and guess what? The T**T sacked him! He'll be off to the solicitor tomorrow.
Steve. |
His son posting a picture of how amusing he found it probably won't help.
D |
D, I have no contact with the company so why should that make any difference? What I choose to do with the picture is totally up to me. I thought it would bring a bit of light to the situation and yeah if my dad had been seriously hurt then i wouldn't have posted the pic. :p
Steve. |
as above.....hardly helping his case are you!
|
O.K, explain how me posting a pic of the wagon has had an affect on my dad being dismissed? I'm not after an argument but many other people on the thread seem to have seen the light side.

paulpalmer, No mate, no verbal/written warnings at all. Never totalled a truck before either! Got to be carefull if i add more humour to the thread he might end up down the line!! LOL @ Tiggs & Dunk :D:D

I don't understand then  Sounds like a case for unfair dismissal to me.
|
If I lent my scoob to someone at work, and they wrote it off, I wouldnt be too pleased.
But I would understand that sh1t happens. If I later stumbled upon a picture on www.CementMixer.co.uk with the driver of my car sat posing for a snap looking proud of himself, with a big grin on his face. I would want to sack him too. I hope you can see my point, without thinking, "But I was just trying to brighten up a gloomy day, and your a fcukin killjoy, partypooper....." Sacking him is a bit harsh, if I was the boss I would make him 'Head of the toilet cleaning dept'. ;) Glad he is OK. |
I know Scoobynet is quite popular but i doubt whether the boss of a concrete company frequents a Japenese performance vehicle forum. Now if you had sent the picture to Construction News Weekly with a caption saying "Driver pleased with his days work" then i might understand his anger.
Jeeez some people  Anyways, glad he's okay and a large compo claim for unfair dismissal to boot. It's turning out nicely for pops ;) |
bad news steve..hope ya dad gets it sorted ;)

Being a transport manager I can understand why he was sacked, unfortunately he hasnt got a leg to stand on unless he has been employed for at least a year, I think you could say this was gross misconcrete ;) ;)
