SUNDAY DRIVER 25 April 2001 11:30 PM

While trawling thru breakers yards on the phone looking for 4pot calipers and discs for my impreza, one guy rang back with a message that he hadn't an impreza but he had a Forester.I havnt rang him back yet as I know nothing about Foresters but is there a Forester with 4pots the same as an Impreza?? or has the guy got the wrong end of the stick?
I would be grateful for any info on this.
Thanx in anticipation.

If it's a Forrester Turbo, then it is basically an Impreza turbo with a different bodyshell (well not as simple but you know what I mean). The four pots shouldn't be a problem going on your car.

Foresters have 2 pots on them not 4.

There is an STi Forester, but I don't know if it has 4 pots.
I am about to buy some 2nd hand 4 pots for my stb.
Will let you know if they fit ok http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif or whether they end up in the private sales section http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif .

Dunno where my first post on this went, so here it is again...
The standard Forester (UK turbo-S, stb or ttb) has 2 pots (280mm discs) but there is an STI model in Japan with 4 pots. It could be this that has found its way over here.
Alternatively, Prodrive do a Brake upgrade for a Forester, so this could be it?
