Batt flat problem sorted on New Age!

Yes, I'm one of the many that had a problem with the batt going flat in just over a week....I did have an electrical problem with the fog lights - they didn't work but the bulbs were okay. Since I've taken out the fuse for the fogs (now driving lamps) the batt has been fine. Bit of a pig in some ways as I bought two batts and spent the last few months changing one over and charging the other - as car is off the road for now.

Anyway, I'll re-wire the now driving lamps and use a new relay. I suspect the original relay has a fault and allows the odd amp to flow even though the fog light switch was off.

When you say you have driving lights on a new age, is that a bugeye new age or a blob eye new age ? If it's a blob eye, which lights, where from and how much ?

Cheers, CB.

I've got new age bug eye's OEs that are un-used. Also got lots of other parts from 2002 wrx.

This topic though, is re the battery going flat on me scooby. Lots of peeps get this, but I've now resolved my problem. It was the dealer fitting the Hella lamps to fog light loom...cooking the relay, which has allow a small drain to be taken from the batt - result, batt flat in just over a week.

Just before the battery died, did it seem hesitant on start-up and sometimes give a chirp from the alarm? If so, then mine looks like it hasn't got long left
