Ass OOT

Back end steppin out real easy in the wet , checked / altered tyre pressures played with them between 28 psi- 34 psi not a bit of difference , slow/normal speed ,3rd gear roundabouts out she comes ,made me smile 1st couple of times but can see it catching HER out as she likes the LOUD pedal:rolleyes:.........half worn P zeros, Sti struts with Eibach springs(lowered about 30mm) totally aw-inspiring in the dry bit leery in the wet.

Took the same roundabout/conditions this afternoon in my old rover416 gti easily faster with no dramas , summit no right.. any suggestions:confused:

cheers Colin

i've got the same prob, a bit of gas and out it goes. i put it down to crap falken tyres.

Alignment and tyres solved a similar problem i had when i first got mine. :)

I have the same problem with my P-Zero Assimetrico's(sp?). The guys over at P1WOC don't like them at all, I'll move over to Goodyear's when the time comes to change!

Unless the tread or pressures are significantly different between front and rear it shouldn't make it tail happy. Personally I hated my P-Zero assimetrics in the wet, but the whole car would slide and not just the rear - that's more of a power/chassis balance.

What spec's your car (MY)? What suspension mods do you have and what geo settings are you running?

Thinkin about alignment , but how can it be sooo good in the dry? Just a thought but in the dry I haven't encountered understeer, maybe there is a wee bit o/steer dialed in which becomes more pronounced in the wet.

Robin G.(H20) are you there.....:o, you said Falkland did the set up ,how did it drive before you parted with it(in the wet)??

C. Jay. k. 15 April 2004 10:40 PM

Ozzy, the cars a 95 WRX ,STI struts ,Eibach springs dont know rating or Geo set up.

ozzy 15 April 2004 11:55 PM

I have Eibachs on mine with std MY99 dampers. They'll not cause the problem (on their own) unless they are shot. Is the oversteer only noticeable at slow speeds and just under power? and is it WOT or even going around the roundabouts on part throttle?

Do you know what types of diffs or power split is on the MY95 WRX's? Simple way to check tyres is to swap wheels around.

Col,

A lot of the symetery probs can be solved with uprated swaybar links ;)
I fitted them to my scoob bout 4 years ago and haven`t encountered understeer / weight shift probs since, unless going completely ape :D even in the wet ;)(BTW I run my track wheels 16" @ 30PSI) http://www.scoobymods.co.uk/kh200702page/3ed.html
