HPI question
if a car was stolen....recovered a week later without any damage, then sold a year later would the fact it was once stolen show up on an HPI even though no damage was done.

HPI - (H)ire (P)urchase and (I)nsurance loss is what I thought is stood for so I would imagine if a car was stolen and recovered without the Insurance company having to pay out other than for minor repair work, then it shouldnt be on the HPI register.
If you have an accident and the insurance repair it for you its not on HPI so dont see this being any different. BOB |

There is an HPI category "D" for stolen and recovered. I dont think that would appear unless the theft was reported to the insurance company.
