(CWE) - new Israel land deal - any good?
 

Sharon has come out with a land deal, not sure if it's enough, although he has to appease his right wing vote as well.
Also saw this story below. Makes you think that no matter what Israel do there won't be any peace if that's how the children are taught...

Long term, the only way to get round the problem is less separation and more integration. At the moment both the jews and the palestinians see it as 'them and us'. The sooner the kid next door is from the other side the sooner their kids will grow up socialising and schooling with the 'other side' that they become friends and won't wish them any harm then things will be peaceful. Segregation and big walls do the situation no good at all. The U.S needs to take a big step back too.

It's a hard thing to make happen though and the leaders on both sides aren't as concerned with peace as they are with 'winning' appeasing their 'side'. At the moment it's the 'loudest voices' that are being heard. Many israelis and palestinians would live together quite peacefully given the chance but this just aint happening.

Remember the kids aren't born with a hatred for others, that is fed to them by their parents and cultures.
