just sorted out my problem of squeaky brakes, i wire brushed the edges of the pads and scraped the brake dust off the inside edges of the calliper then copper greased the metal edges and backs of the pads and the edges of the calliper where the pads sit, being careful not to get any on the pad or disc, this has cured the problem for me.
It could also be that the pads or discs are worn or damaged, hope this helps

Glazing normally comes from the pad heating up from cold too quickly (ie cold pad, 120mph emergency stop), or pads getting very overheated. Some pads are more prone than others - metal content to blame.

De-glaze by (as Stef says) go for a spirited drive, if that doesn't work, remove pad and wire wool/sand/file

The noise is normally due to resonance that is not being damped by the anti squeal material on the backs of the pads.

Some pads have no anti squeal material on them at all such as Pagid Blues and these can send you suicidal over time.

Other times the anti squeal material can wear through after very spirited driving, e.g. a track day.

People will tell you that "spirited driving" will fix it. All I say is Hmmmm.

Forgot to mention that you can buy anti squeal material to stick to the back of your pads. It's pretty cheap. Take out the pads, trace around it and stick it on the back then put the pads back.... aah the serenity :-)

You could also check out Simon A's advice, it sounds like he cured the resonance by using the copper grease on the backs of the pads. Not sure how long this would last though.

Anyway, good luck, after driving around with screaming Pagid Blues for a while on a previous car I feel your pain. It used to drive me so crazy I would even plan alternate routes home. They are incredible pads on the track though.
