Cvnts in Car Parks

was round Merry hilll today, just popped in for 10mins to take soemthing back and we came out to find this :

suffice to say I am livid with anger...car had done a runner (empty space next to it)

Must have hit it pretty hard as it's cracked the paint pretty badly.

This is one of the reasons why I'm selling my scoob and buying a replcement that has crap bodywork - and paying far less for it beacuse of that. It's just too much hassel trying to prtect your property these day....I've given up.

If I found that car that did this...I'd tell you now they would not be driving back home ( I think a set of tyres + recovery equates to a resprayed bumper and alloy refurb)

Total pi$$er mate,

That car looks like a 5 series. My eyes must be on their way out . :D

Yup 540...belongs to my step dad. Absolutely unmarked apart until now and a small ding on the back bumper (don't trust those reverse bleepers ;)).

Alloys are only a year old too
It's really winds me that people do this and get away with with, yet I can do nothing about it.

its one of my fears. I try to take up 2 parking places and park away from the general riff-raff ;)

Scooby96 13 April 2004 06:38 PM

CCTV?

Bad move. Theres people who will scratch/key/slash tyres on a car if they see it has done this, esp in a busy car park. You could also be towed/impunded by clamping cowboys.

I try to park at the end so that my wheels are 1mm from the kerb, and only if the car next to that space is respectable and has bump strips etc.

It is such a sad day when you have to go to this much effort to park so that some idiotic **** doesn't feck up you car.

For the money you spend on a bumper or a set of alloys you could get a scrapper for parking in supermarket carparks. I kept my old car when I got the scoob, declining the 1k trade-in value figuring it was worth more to me than that.

I parked the scoob in a busy car park while taking the wife to the shops once and couldn't get back quickly enough, it was a stressful experience ;)

zoog 13 April 2004 09:52 PM

I always find that even if you park in the deserted part of the car park miles away, by the time you get back some tw@t has plonked their car right next to yours ignoring 50 empty spaces next door......you just cant win.

what would scooby do 13 April 2004 09:55 PM

Yup I've now got an old banger (mint Merc 300E 24v with 230BHP LOL) - I reversed into a metal fence last week and knocked it flat - no a scratch on the merc..

p.s. I don't go around hitting things on purpose - it's fecking long compared to a scoob..

p.p.s. I'm very careful parking next to other cars :D

ALi-B 13 April 2004 10:14 PM

I just scrapped this, well that's a lie....scrapping would be the better description ;)

If I wasn't already involved in engine swaps etc I would probably dump in a CA20DET if I found a cheap one.

Just thinking of something interesting I can do with it before driving it down the scrappers ;)

andypugh2000 13 April 2004 10:41 PM

after i bought my scoob i also went out and got an old 205 diesel, bloody fab for taking shopping, has more dents than dale wintons arse and people avoid it like a reality tv show ;) , saves on the headache of legging it round the supermarket before anyone parks near the scoob syndrome, told the wife it was a gift for her, she was not too impressed though  :D

I can't work out how they managed to hit the corner of the front bumper AND the wheel at that angle - they must have been in contact with your car throughout their manoevre!

Hopefully their dishonesty and cowardice will eventually earn them what they deserve...

ALi-B 13 April 2004 11:59 PM

I know what you mean, to me it seems like they've hit it, (thus the cracked paint and big scuff) and then carried on anyway. No one can do that kind of damage and not know about it. Front of car was facing out the space, wheel may have had some right lock on it (i.e forward bit pointing in - opposite to the pic above), can't remember now. Bumper is scratched right up to the wheel arch, just not so heavily - probably flexed out the way.

I would like to see them get what they deserve, perhaps in the after life? Mind, I'm no angel so I'd meet them in hell and give them a good kicking myself :D

I think it's a red car that did it!

As i pointed out, if you double space away from where most motorists will park, youll be ok. Obviously dont take 2 spaces when theres not many parking spots. Dont know of any supermarket places that employ clampers. Havent seen any signs in the places i park, and the spaces are free anyway.

Watch Britains worst driver on TV, plenty of people are more than capable of doing the damage and then rather than stopping, just carrying on. Sad but true. Hope you manage to get it sorted m8, real pi$$er when that happens
