just cash the cheque first mate then send the fone.

never send anyting on ebay without seeing the money in your account.
I have someone try to rip me off using western union. he sent an email to me and made it look like it was from western union address, saying payment from them was on the way and i should send the package..

Not a chance. 6months later no cheque :) i sold it to the next highest bidder :)
