Popping and banging

I have a MY00 witha full decat, downpipe and backbox. Recently when I lift off (or reverse) it has started to pop and bang a bit.

I am about 3k away from an interim service, is this something to do with the air/fuel mixture or something else? My knocklink is not showing any activity.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dont worry this is quite normal and will get more progressive as the weather gets warmer, mine spits like a dragon in hot weather, you should be proud, i am :D

As Andy says, a little of this is normal with a full decat. If it's started to happen (or become more prevalent) recently, have you changed anything on the car? Non-recirculating dumpvalves can make it worse, for example...

Greasemonkey, I think its just a change in the weather / humidity as mine has been quiet for months on end but only started again since it warmed up. Only happens on decelerration and sometimes between the gears ;)

Edit: I have the std dump valve still in place

Thanks, standard dump valve but running 1.2 bar 248.1bhp.
You've put my mind at rest.
