Any1 know of any good free spyware removers ?

Ad-aware 6.0 is free to download, free to update and free to use.

As is Spybot :)

Spybot is way better than adaware. Used adaware first then ran Spybot - it found loads more stuff.

But don't they do different things?

I now use both SPYBOT and AD-AWARE on my pc they work fine together spybot just tells u it detects that ad-aware is installed other than that i tend to do a run of both everynow and then,

Maybe im just paranoid though.lol

Strangely I find it the other way round...........Ad-Aware finds more than Spybot!

A quick question on the subject of spybot....

I run spybot and it hangs....

It show's it scanning through files 0001/5000 upto about 2900/5000 and just hangs.......

Does anyone else have this problem???

I too have found that adaware finds some that spybot doesn't & 'Vice Verse'

Mine appears to hang at around the halfway point also, but if I just leave it (up to 5-10 minutes sometimes) it carries on fine. YMMV.

I am the impatient type :)

I'll try leaving it for more than 30 secs tonight!!

The above site will check internet explorer for any parasites or adware installed without your knowledge. If found it will also list the steps needed to remove the offending article. Found it most useful mate.
