To clarify....

1. The P1 wheel is the OZ Corsa
2. It is only available (in the UK) through dealers

I think Subie Gal has posted on this before.

For those out there who have bought 17" P1 alloys off P1 owners who are upgrading - what is the going price? Is this for 4 or 5 wheels (I know Andy Tang has a full size spare!)

And Subie Gal - being an import enthusiast how much are they in the States?

Thoughts anybody?

Just so you know I paid £995 (inc. VAT) from a dealer for 17" P1 wheels with 1,200 miles on them.

The spare I bought from Grade A, for about £170 (less than a 1000 on that one!)

Anything 48 or higher should be fine!!!

ET45, if it's a UK/Euro car, then you need to remove the rear rubber lip over the arches!

You got your wheels shockingly cheap!

I sold my set of 4 for £1100 with 4000 miles on them.

At the time, I had people biting my hand off for them. It was however before the 18" wheels were readily available and my 17's were a rare commodity.

Gentlemen,

I would like to bring your attention to a certain wheel called Revolution RZX (or KN Motorsport as named by some) which is (in my opinion, of course) a beautiful 7x17 alloy coming in silver, gold and above all anthracite. It costs much less than any of the OZs (RRP £119+VAT each I think, but can be found for less), weighs only 8.5kgs (not heavier than OZ or similar), has only 5 spokes so you can a) see your lovely brakes and b) clean it in less than 1 hour. Finally, there is so much room between the spokes and calipers that you can have one and a half width of a Brembo or AP caliper and still more room available!!

Talk to the best known Subaru "aftermarket chemist" in the business and look before buying others!!

I've seen cars where even 205/45 R17 tyres <B>still</B> catch the rear arch rubbers.

Andy you're right except 205/45 x 17's OK with ET 45. I should know, had 215/40 x 17's ruined the rubber strip as Andy said. Now gone back to 205/45 x 17 P Zero's. No problem.

looked at the site, picked a dealer in the u.s. at random, and lo and behold, oz prodrive wheels, $319 each.is it me, or are prodrive taking the pi55? why is it u can buy these things in the states, yet u have to pay stupid money at uk dealers for secondhand ones?
can anyone recommend a dealer in the u.s. who can sell me a set. how much did the shipping cost etc.
this would be a big help, coz i'm sick of paying over the odds for dealer stuff.

I agree. However $300 per wheel is about the same as what you would pay 2nd hand. Shipping from the states is expensive unless you go surface mail. Need to know how heavy they are..

i dont generally have a downer on dealers, it's just that i would love a set of these wheels, as would a lot of other scooby owners.
just look how many owners have upgraded to wheels without an ideal offset, just so that they can have wheels that look similar. eventually i will trade my my00 for a P1, but till then i'd happily make do with the wheels. princess has them on her my95 ( she paid £1200 for a secondhand pair from a dealer), and i think they look the best by a mile.

Maybe its because we pay dealers over inflated prices just to keep them in business and they then look down on people taking the initiative and importing them themselves?

Anthracite P1 wheels in either 17 or 18 inch size ARE available from Subaru dealers in the UK at a very pleasant price of £212.50+VAT (or something like that)each. Expensive, but available. The only thing that is not readily available yet is the 18 inch P1 OZ wheel in GOLD finish like on the 44S WRC and some of the tuned STi MY01 cars in Japan.

What seems to be the problem?

They tested my RA, which sports a set of these.

I too was not sure about this wheel, despite the low weight and strength, but put them on a car and wow!!!

We don't have a delivery date for the Anthracite 17" wheels, but gold are in stock as will be 18" in gold and anthracite in the next few days.

No, just anthracite!!! The Superleggera is here now in a similar colour and a simialar design (ok, it's a subtle twin-spoke) and people are going to start buying them over the P1 wheel because:
a) they are available, now!
b) they are cheaper

I would prefer the P1 wheel but alas the cost is high and it's difficult to get one.

Given it's labelled as a Prodrive wheel...why can't you start selling them yourselves at a more reasonable price for an OZ wheel?

IMHO, Prodrive should be selling all of the WRC design wheels in each 17" and 18" of gold, anthracite, and silver. This would therefore include the OZ ST, which we currently cannot buy in anthractie in 17" form as was used on the WRC car for a while.

(why have Prodrive switched back to gold from anthracite on their WRC cars now?).
