tom tom + ipaq
 
I have tom tom on my ipaq which is fine, i also have the speed cameras on, the problem is i have the bmp camera icon but cannot get it into the poi or on the map,the box is crossed and it says speed cameras but no icon,can you help as i'm going mad.

What software are u using to display the POIs? I use Checkpoint which is available from www.pocketgps.co.uk.

It is checkpoint that we are using with tt2 but the icon has not come up:(

Have you had a look at the instructions on the pocketgps site? I followed these and it all worked OK. Have you got the bitmap image in the correct folder? Make sure you run the Checkpoint software which should then automatically run Tom Tom.

It picks them up ok and the audiable warning sounds but no icon's, i have put the icon in the GB maps on the storage card, also tried to copy into POI, so still no luck.

Steve, I don't know if you have seen this link http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetyc...checkpoint.php it is the full guide to installing the cameras. I have used Checkpoint V2.0.2 as there have been problems with the latest version. If you are getting the camera warnings and sounds but no camera bitmaps in Tom Tom I can only think you do not have the pocketgps option turned on in Tom Tom Properties under the POI section. Can't be much more help I am afraid.
