is JR panel filter heavily oiled i.e MAF friendly??
as above. im running an itg at the mo and with all the rumours goin around about them i thought i might change.
cheers Zen |
I sawone yesterday that had just been put in the car a few days previously, it looks very similar to my "green" one, and nowhere near as oily as the ITG. The ITG that the chap took out was disgusting, he was surprised that the car could breathe at all with all the crap it had collected.
Get a JR one or green IMO. Neil. |
"It might be that you exceed the oil level."
this is what my expert said to me. |
I run with one of those, has been ok for me.

Two years and 30k miles on a JR Panel Filter with no probs Martin |
i've got one. No probs

Got one a month ago having had MAF failure whilst using ITG. It appears to be oiled with a very small amount of light oil as opposed to the heavy dose of the gooey stuff on the ITG. It looked alot healthier anyway and another plus is that it is supposedly washable (requires re-oiling after).

Ive had a ramair ( screwed the maf ) and ITG in the past and switched to a JR about 4 months ago. ( for an MY00 ). The JR is not covered in oil like the ITG and the engine responce defo feels improved over the ITG one. I'm pretty sure it is oil free as that was my reason for replacing the ITG one. Cheers Rich
