EastSussexScoobies Testing Day - SAT 17th April

Time for another one of those days where we join up with our local dealer and take advantage of the "try it and if you don't like it take it off" scenarios. As usual, the fitting is free if you have it done on the day, and if you don't like it it costs you nothing to have it removed afterwards. Can't grumble at that!

So what can you have fitted? - Suspension mods as per last time will be on offer - anti lift kit, sway bars, front and rear droplinks, geometry, in any combination you like. Also some quick shift kits, one of which I am currently testing.

So what time's it start? - From about 10 am onwards till 5pm ish.

So where is it? - Gatwick Subaru in Crawley (I'm sure someone will post a map)

We plan to have some side attractions on the day - which MAY include the EastSussexScoobies bikini babes, Subarman and/or Subargirl, a Transformers competition (if you have got a Subaru one - bring it along) with prizes!!!! Oh, and maybe a 22B or two if we are VERY lucky!

As usual, it is an opportunity to meet some new people (customers invited by Dave Hollamby at Gatwick Subaru), share experiences of modifications, and get some fitted for yourself under no obligation to buy if you don't like.

We will have our own parking area in the compound at the back so just turn up during the day. Obviously this event replaces our usual monthly meet but it is an opportunity to do something different - albeit in the west of the county. Last time's effort was a great success, so we hope this one will be also!

Any questions, post them up!

Keith

Gotta come to this one. Having terrible trouble with the gearbox, cruches from third to fourth when the gearbox is hot. Do they change gearbox oil (if I bring it along) :D.

Can't make the West Sussex meet this weekend as at the in laws. I have now had my TSL Firestorm decat system for two months and haven't had the opportunity to show it off at any of the East or West meets. Although I may need to change the backbox as we are expecting our first ankle biter :).

See ya there.

Wagons Rock.

Ru and Karen :D:D

Squadron-Leader 03 April 2004 03:20 PM

Wagons do indeed rock Ru.

will springs be on offer ?

Nathan L 03 April 2004 03:48 PM

Good stuff Keith, I may even have a few bits there waiting for me. ;)

Do you want to convoy up on some nice cross country roads?

Nathan..

No-bars Krud 03 April 2004 05:52 PM

Fuz - no springs this time, but if enough interest then I'm sure they will be offered.

Nathan - depends what time - I will need to be there before the start to sort out all the bikini-clad girls and stuff!

Nathan L 03 April 2004 06:35 PM

09.00 - 09.15 ish?

Nathan..

pele 03 April 2004 10:01 PM

Out of interest, how much is the quickshift if you do decide you want it? It will be for a Classic MY98...

ScoobyDuck 04 April 2004 07:20 PM

will join u guys on convoy - PM me with details & route (or email)

No-bars Krud 04 April 2004 07:55 PM

Pele

Will check this out for you - be good to have a joint meet sometime!

555 Markus 05 April 2004 12:14 PM

"bikini-clad girls" eh? Oh well, might just be able to get up to Gatwick for the first hour before I have to head off for football. Don't think theres much more they can do to my STi now, but I'll be there to encourage others to follow the handling mods route cos its well worth it :D.

Will also have to have a nose around the new motor Nathan :). STi's rock!

Hopefully if I get there early Subarman might still be in bed and I'll miss him ;).

Mark

No-bars Krud 05 April 2004 07:55 PM

Now he's gonna get up early just for you!!!!!!!!!!

Nah! Think you are more likely to see Subargirl actually. After all, he went to the last one, and look what trouble he caused!

BigMikeyBoy 06 April 2004 10:37 AM

I missed the last one of these that you organised, but will try and make this one, however i think i am working on that day 2 - 10, so will try and get there early.
I may pop in and see Dave to see if any of those mods will make a difference to the handling of a P1, after all, it has been tweaked by Prodrive.

That's some great discounts you've sorted there Keith, huge well done matey.

Scooby Roo 07 April 2004 12:03 PM

Fantastic, better stay in this weekend and save up some cash :D:D:D:D:D

No-bars Krud 07 April 2004 06:52 PM

I wish I could take the credit for the discounts - they have all come from Dave Hollamby at Gatwick Subaru - he really is trying his best for us. He's an enthusiast after all, and must enjoy our company! Oh, and he's a keen fan of Subarman - they even had a cartoon of him in the Service reception area - think it's been removed now!!!

D3MAN 07 April 2004 08:30 PM

I am a regular customer at Gatwick, (services, new car purchase) have I got to wait for an invite or can I turn up on the day. Interested in the quickshift. Oh and the bikini babes.

Cheers Dave.

No-bars Krud 08 April 2004 07:48 AM

Hi Dave

You may well get an invite from Dave Hollamby anyway, as he wants to introduce some of his customers to the EastSussexScoobies crew - that is partly what the day is about. Of course, you are welcome anyway.

Don't get your hopes up too high on the Babes front, at the moment it is Bikini Babe, and due to other duties on the day, she may well be bathed in Lycra rather than in a two-piece. It may also be too cold! There WILL be some bikini-babe photos however!!!

Tchort 08 April 2004 01:21 PM

So how can i get an invite to this? I know someone who wants some suspension stuff doing and this sounds like a deal to good to miss.

waggy doo 08 April 2004 01:25 PM
