WR1s in short supply?

My dealer today told me that each dealership gets 3 cars. By 31/03 any dealers who have not sold their allocation get their cars put back in the pot. My dealer has sold & cars & they're not taking any more orders.

Anyone know if this is true?

Chris SGT 31 March 2004 07:04 PM

My dealer told me the same thing too (this afternoon)............

............They think they'll know the delivery dates of the first two (including mine) by next week!! :D

gridgway 31 March 2004 07:26 PM

corse...

...they are in short supply, that's the 'limited' part of limited edition!

Graham

GarethE 31 March 2004 08:25 PM

The cars may be limited but the brochures, well leaflet :D, in the dealers aren't...fair few in mine today...just pray Subaru don't follow the actions of the P1

ozzy 31 March 2004 08:31 PM

If there's a demand for 1000 cars, then it's gonna take a lot for IM not to want to turn a few more @ £30K

WR-one 31 March 2004 08:58 PM

If you buy on based on ltd edition of 500 and they double it P1 style later, you could sue for any drop in residuals when you sell (if you can prove it was because of the fact they ain't as limited as they were - tough one). Hope they don't anyway the fact they are limited to 500 is one of its main plus points (well apart from the lurvely colour of course!) :D .

Have Subaru given any idea of delivery dates to you the Chris?

SPEN555 31 March 2004 09:57 PM

If they extend the production run it will be like the Clio Williams supposed limited production run.

I think owners threatened to sue but nothing ever came of it. IIRC.

Hi Scooby Lee

Within 5 miles of me? *gulp!* ;-)

A Tiley sales guy (Van?) was supposed to call me back yesterday - he didn't.

Nick 01 April 2004 08:45 AM

Chris

Where are you based? If you can get another WR1 is it spoken for?

SCOOBY TOWERS 01 April 2004 10:50 AM

How come a local importer is advertising them @ £23k then ?
And no its not an April fool.
Don't want to advertise for someone I don't know / havn't used so e mail me if you want the web address.
Oh and I'm on Holiday from 12 noon Friday so be quick !

dc911 01 April 2004 10:54 AM

That will be the euro import of the petter solberg edition, not exactly the same as the WR1 which will be an awesome car

MJW 01 April 2004 10:57 AM

Hmmm I wouldn't have thought the WR1 would be available as an import : after all, all the tweaking is done in the UK by Prodrive.

IanF 01 April 2004 11:10 AM

Chris works at SGT in Taplow He told me last week that he could probably get one more WR1 but the wife wouldn't wear it.

There's one problem here, thats the wife.
why don't you export the wife and in return import a WR1.

Great swap, deal stell, sale of the _ucking century

Geddon 01 April 2004 12:41 PM

They could just make another 500 in a sensible colour:)

If CarlT is a dealer how can he have any left??

Nick, Would you like to view my WR1 when (if) it arrives??

Spend your cash on a JDM model GL with all the goodies ;) then get the uk fuel map (www.litimports.co.uk) i think you will be more than satisifed with a car this IS better than the WR1 :D
