US components

Hi
I was hopefully popping to the US at some point... and due to exchange rate, price differences etc. I was thinking of, among other things, upgrading my computer. Will American components be compatable with a UK PC, for example, motherboard, CD rom drives. Any help would be really appreciated!! :D

You make it sould like you are just popping to the shop for some milk :D

As far as I know parts are the same as the parts are made in the east and then shipped to the west.

Edited to add that the parts above are all fragile so carry them on and put them in the hold.

Have you ever seen the monkey loading the plane?

Don't drink too much US milk, Growth Hormone levels are a worry.

All basic components are the same. The only prob is that they like to scam you with mail in rebates so things are not always much cheaper. This might not be a problem if you are visiting friends and get them to order for you. Take a look at Fatwallet.com for the latest deals. Fry's do some good deals for M/B and CPU bundles. Newegg for online ordering tho they will not accept UK CC.
