so what is the fastest scooby?

i'm a little confused! i thought the spec c was the the fastest and then the wr1 came out......so naturally that was the one on my wish list! but today i see in japanese performance mag that the sti type 25 is the one to have all are gorgous and i'd probaly never be able to afford any of them but it's so confusing!! :D

TonyBurns 27 March 2004 06:57 PM

The fastest production scoob is the Spec C, so thats sorted :D
The fastest non-production car is going to be the T-25.

Tony:D

Brun 27 March 2004 07:12 PM

Which is the faster of them 2? :)

harvey 27 March 2004 07:33 PM

Just don't agree about the T25 non prod. What is the rev limit and what is the gearing?

Steve Whitehorn 27 March 2004 07:43 PM

The one with the best trained/experienced driver in for the prevailing conditions ;)
My money would be on the Spec C :)

Steve

john coffey 27 March 2004 07:44 PM

Tony,
Out of the box the WR1 is quicker than the 280bhp Spec C.
For some unknown reason the media seem to think that they produce 320bp as standard, which as you know they don't.
Just wait until next months Evo mag, all will be revealed.....

greasemonkey 27 March 2004 07:55 PM

Which is best out of Wagon Wheels and Bounty?

dpb 27 March 2004 07:59 PM

.............OH WAGON WHEELS FOR SURE :EKK: :P - do they still sell em

16vmarc 28 March 2004 01:18 PM

Depends really, as theres differant tpyes of Wagon Wheels and Bountys. You have to take into account jam fillings and dark chocolate. Maybe a poll would settle this one.

Soulgirl 28 March 2004 01:34 PM

Wagon Wheels with Jam are far superior to the somewhat dreary Original ones. Therefore, a poll is unnecessary because the answer is clear.

u r a bunch of arses at times, i really hate reading this Vs. threads as u's find a way of making everything too overly complicated!

Just choose Jam then :)

StickyMicky 28 March 2004 02:49 PM

lmfao

i go with the jam as well

bounty = you see the wrapper and the promise of sum paradise, but when you actualy get the 2 small dog turd lookalikes out of the wrapper, your always deflated and feel a touch robbed :(

Nooo Micky! Close your eyes, and rub your fingers up and down the bars. Feels like the bark of the coconut tree - hence you are immediately transported to a paradise isle in the Maldives... run a tap at the same time and voila! You ARE in the maldives :D

PS: I just burned my thumb on the hob whilst making macaroni cheese al a Soulgirl. I won't be able to enjoy my creation as much as I might have if I hadn't burned myself!http://www.thesoulgirl.com/emotis/raspa.gif

chrisp 28 March 2004 02:53 PM

MYOO WRX STI V6 Type RA

greasemonkey 28 March 2004 03:02 PM

Tried one once Chris, didn't like the taste.

Well acutally thats not correct, as out of the box the WR1 has 265ps, its tuned up to 320ps ;)
As for the Spec C being slower, all you need is 290bhp and you have already passed the WR1 in power to weight and torque will be better on the Spec C due to the engine, also most spec c's will be pushing the 300bhp mark in standard form making it even more of a car ;)
At the end of the day, my money is on the Spec C, its just a better out of the box car, its based on a better out of the box car than the WR1 is and has been looked into to do something it was designed to rather than made to do something that it isnt ;)

Tony:D

greasemonkey 28 March 2004 03:29 PM

Thanks for that Karen. Far too much information methinks...

TonyBurns 28 March 2004 03:56 PM

Ah looks like the figures are out on the WR1 for real life driving, its a touch slower than the spec c by the looks ;)

in the following order... 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile/mph

WR1 - 5.3, 13.1, 13.7/102
SpecC - 4.3, 11.1, 13/108
T25 - 4.4, 10.6, 12.8/110
P1 - 4.9, 13.3, 13.7/101

Tony:D
PS, the 1/4 mile time is the same as given by subaru japan for the Spec C ;)

peachy wrx 28 March 2004 04:57 PM

eeerrrr....so looking at those figures the WR1 isn't any quicker than my MY98 wrx?

greasemonkey 28 March 2004 05:56 PM

 "Real life driving"? Whose figures are they Tony?
