The official Bolney Jap meet thread (24th April)

We have Scoobs coming from far and wide to this as well as every other kind of Jap motor :D:D

So far there are convoys from Essex, Surrey, Kent, Hants and Sussex all aiming to meet up at Pease pottage services on the M23 at 10.30 for a massive Scoob convoy to Bolney ;)

jap performance mag will be there and they are hoping to have a film crew too.

Unfortunatly the car park is reserved , so we will have to park on the grass verges, however there are 2 spaces in the car park for 1 classic and 1 new shape Scoob.

ive spoken to one of the guys that running the Bolney meet and he said no one is allowed in before 11.30 unless you have a stool. what time were you planning to leave pease pottage?

As most of you will know, it's Bolney 2004 next weekend (Saturday 24th April).

This is a "show n Shine" type event ... as there is no-where to show what your car is capable of. So it's simply a case of turn-up, park-up and swtich off. We're expecting a lot of cars this year ... as Bolney has become quite well known these days. The previous 2 years has seen over 500 cars in attendance.

We have something different this year .... with cars voted for by each owners club parked in the main carpark. This is basically the first time we've tried a "show area". We should have around 30 cars on display ... with a LOT of variety. I am pleased to say we have an NSX confirmed this year ... which is a first.

We also have our first "trade stand" - as Japanese Performance magazine will have a stand at the meet ... and will be selling their magazine. They are also doing a feature on the day.

Additionally, Steve Brooks (producer of the "Skylines & Skyscrapers" DVD) is coming down to video some of the meet ... with a view to putting some footage on a future DVD.

The pub generally do a special menu for us - basically easy pub food - chips, steaks, etc. They normally do us special prices as well ... i've eaten there in the past and the food is delicious.

Start time for the meet is 11.30am - no sooner. We need time to get the carpark cars sorted, get the Jap Performance Mag stand up, and ensure Steve (and co) are all sorted. It does get very busy very quickly ... so please watch your speeds ... and try not to get frustrated by the parking ... it may take you a few moments to get parked up .... but there is LOADS of space so you'll get sorted eventually. As mentioned the carpark is reserved, so please do not try and park in there ... as it'll ruin the "display area".

There is no official end time for the meet ... it just ends when it ends. It's normally still going at 4pm ... so there's plenty of time to see all the cars in attendance.

If you are unsure where you are going - Bolney is just off the A23. To help work out your route, try using multimap.com or the rac route planner and look for a destination post code of RH17 5RL.

I look forward to seeing plenty of you there next weekend .... the meet WILL go ahead regardless of the weather. If it's wet, just bring an umbrella

The official start is 11.30 for the car park, but as we are only parking on the grass verge we should aim to get there a little earlier to make sure we get a good spot :D

We have turned up "on time" before to find we had to park quite a way down the road!!!

Unfortunatly soom T**T wanted a closer look at my paint work last night and drove in to my rear door!!!!! :mad:
So I shall be catching a lift to Pease Pottage and on to the meet ;) as the car is not drivable.
I'm more annoyed about not being able to get the car to Bolney than I'am about the damage :confused::)

I will still be there!!! You can't miss me, I'll have "DYNEY" across the back of my shirt!!! :D:D
